I've met two ladies in person, that I talked to online. I was very pleased with both experiences. They both represented themselves very accurately, as far as looks go. I would not hesitate to do it again.

I am not sure if you are talking about online dating sites or just a chat room? But if you are talking about a potential romantic connection find out how long they have been single. I met someone I really fell for only to discover after the fact that they had just gotten out of a relationship two months previous and they went back to them...had I asked the right questions I would have been a bit more self-protective and realistic. I think the "history" of someone is important. Also just FYI many people send "dated" pictures to you so they look better. You know you just need to meet in a neutral place, be realistic and see what happens. But you have to figure people have also fell in love off dating sites and are still together. Good luck!

Yes, and she is sleeping in the other room right now. And, yes, so far so good.
But years ago, I thought I had met someone special and we talked on-line for quite a while and when we finally met she was way to young and I was very hurt, (she is lucky I am not some weirdo), so I didn't do the on-line thing for a long time after that.

Yes! My beautiful Indian Princess, Kat's! Before meeting her, I thought that being a Neanderthal was the way to go, you know, like going to a restaurant and saying to a waiter, YO BRO!, OVER HERE! Or passing gas in a crowed elevator, or stuffing the bread on the table in my pants because I was too lazy to go and just buy some., Oh, and my personal favorite, wiping my face with bread, and then eating the bread as I am eating! You see, to a caveman these things come naturally.Anyway, she has shown me to be a " social gent", And it"s cool! Although, I still have a habit of getting strong urges to steal the silverware off the table, But I'm working on that!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, he's the most amazing guy. We were trully made for each other, but circumstances are not allowing us that. It can work out generally, but it depends on whom you meet. He can be a loser or a great guy, just as in real life. The only bad thing about it is that you can not be sure of his loyalty and honesty until you see him and stay with him for some time.

I just got married to a man that I met on Yahoo Personals last summer! He is wonderful...and we had been working less than a mile apart for years, just didn't know it...had it not been for the internet, we may have never met!

I met my wife on line a little over 6 years ago. We're still together and still happy. Be honest and ask LOTS of questions before you meet face to face and get to involved.

I'm writing a new friend from Romania. I don't know if we'll be in a position to make things work, but it would just be nice to have a friend in a different cultural setting. Then, on the other hand, when I think of Romania, I picture old castles, overlooking high cliffs, & vampires....Hmmmmm.
