I was in bed watching a film on tv late at night when a news flash came on the telly saying she had been in an accident and had been taken to hospital.
When i woke up in the morning, the news people were saying that she died during the night.
So sad.
I remember watching the funeral,me and my mum were wraped up in blankets in our lounge watching the whole thing. my heart still goes out to her sons. it must be so terrible listening nearly every day still about her accident.
Rest in Peace Diana, always loved, never forgotten x

I was actually delivering the papers the morning it hit the news. I remember going into the newsagents and the woman there telling me. I don't think I believed her at first, but then I saw the report for myself.
I remember I nearly spent all day on that delivery because the papers didn't come in till midday and some papers had to do reprints because they had just reported that she had been in an accident and not that she had died.

I was outside playing with the neighborhood kids, I was about 11 at the time, maybe younger so I didnt really know who Princess Diana was, plus I am American. It was still sad though.

I would have been at home sleeping when she actually died - but I heard it through a telephone call from my Mother.
I think it was a Sunday.
Princess Diana truly was the Queen of Hearts.

It was my first wedding anniversary (to my first husband). We were just leaving for a weekend away.
The whole thing should have been a sign that our marriage was set to fall apart.
I used to cry when I heard Candle in the Wind on the radio every time after that.

I was in California, in bed. A friend called me at l am to tell me, I could not believe it. It was the same day that my ex husband of 30 years got married to his "bimbo". The two things together made me weep with sorrow. I felt sure the Palace had her bumped off. I still feel that way. The French did a lousy late job of detective work. We'll never know for sure, what really happened.

In a Youth Hostel in Castleton, Derbyshire. We woke up and left the hostel and wondered why the church's flag was at half mast. It wasn't until lunch when we heard the news on the radio.

I was in the USA when I heard the news and I think a lot of people were shocked to hear the news. Was she alive when she was taken to the hospital or DOA (dead on arrival)?

I was at Home and switched the TV on I couldn't understand why virtually every channel was news based when I actually sat down and listened I realised what happened and was mortified. I was due to go to work that day but didn't go as I was so shell shocked.
