I would HIGHLY suggest you apply at a hospital pharmacy. Hospital pharmacy technicians make A LOT more then retail pharmacy technicians (like Safeway, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc).

Right after I graduated high school I took the PTCB test and passed. I had about 3 months experience as a pharmacy technician at Safeway (not certified) and I was only getting paid $8.50 an hour. I applied at a hospital once I got certified and to my surprised they hired me!

I have been at the same hospital ever since. Right now I'm making $16.70 an hour. I also work overnight (11PM-8AM) so I get a 13% differential on top of my $16.70 and hour.
