Maybe it's just that more gays are coming out of the closet instead of hiding in it like many scared homosexuals did in history.

You can't observe how many gays are in the world becuase with most gays, their oreintation cannot be distinguished from gays.

There have always been gay people. Now it's just more acceptable to be gay and they don't have to worry about being murdered or burned at the stake for their sexual preferences.
