I live in Asia now and I'm wondering why wallet tissues and wet tissues common or popular? Am I missing something? It's just not as popular in the U.S. I'd like to know what women use them for? I just bought some because they were on sale and I want to know the benefits. Does it have something to do with the hot weather and sweating and the need to refresh? I know some of this may be a bit obvious to some but I know I must not be the only person who has wondered this. Sorry, I'm really not trying to appear ignorant or dumb, just wanted to get some womens' opinions. Thanks!

Humid weather makes wet tissue great for the following:
Facial wipes
Hygiene Wipes
Toilet purposes especially for babies.
After a greasy meal (example chillie crabs) we can use the wet wipes instead of tissue paper which doesn't clean effectively.
Convenient if we do not have assess to a water tap.
Sanitary solution any time.

I live in Asia as well and have wondered this too. It seems to me that they use them to refresh themselves or freshen up. At some restruant here in japan they also give you warm towels to use after your meals to freshen yourself. I know older people in America who also keep the wet tissues in their purses and use them in the same way.

It's basically a "moist towellette" or whatever. They're used for messes and to clean your hands and face if you need them.

i live in china too, and i know wat u mean. ppl in china use em because its portable, small, disinfects, and is very cheap. i hope this helps!
