Why do British men like to fight ?

I dont think it is just British men, I think all men are the same. Mostly it is drink fuelled.

Generalisation is simple isnt it, but at the end of the day try and think of any society of people where there isnt an undercurrent of men fighting ... the British are no different to any other group of people all over the world.

Personally I'd only fight if forced by a situation or I was paid to do so in an army situation (not that I would ever intend to join an army that gets dragged around the world for illegal wars for Oil).

There are certain men from any country who like to fight, I wouldn't say British men, just a small group.

Babes, if we could answer that, we'd be millionaires! From a female point of view (if you're interested) it does seem to be the old cocktail of beer and background. You can't put class where there is none (my definition of class isn't how much money you have or what car you drive or how big your house is etc. I'm a single mum of a 3 year old and I work on a check-out in Tesco in a p***-poor town in northern England; but I know how to respect people, how to treat people and how to behave in public).
You can't put all British men in that catergory because so many of them have really good jobs, contribute to society and have a good social life without downing s***-loads of beer and making an a*** of themselves in public. What really makes me laugh about it, even though it isn't really funny, is most of these idots you see battling are about 7 stone wet through and if they took on a real bloke they'd get knocked into next week! (Yes, I know Bruce Lee wasn't very big, but how many of you blokes out there can really do what he did???)
Joking aside, it's quite disturbing really. The blokes who are like this seem to have absolutely no respect, not only for anyone else, but not even for themselves. Does dignity and pride mean nothing to these "men"? As you said, sometimes you do have to fight, but to protect your family and friends and in self-defence, not just because you're too out of it to really know what you're doing. Do they think it makes them look hard? Walls are hard, floors are hard, people break. Do they think it impresses women? Trust me guys, no self-respecting woman is impressed by a thug; of course we like men to be able to take care of us if they have to, but kicking the c**p out of someone for no reason whatsoever isn't attractive in any way, shape or form.

I absolutely agree that not only British men like to fight. I think they fight because they can express their feelings like this! When women are angry they cannot fight, because I think it's ugly when women fight! But men...this is different!!!

Not all British men like to fight (my husband, sons, brothers, dad don't). But some men are like that when they've been drinking alcohol. Oafs.
