If I do a disk clean up and a disk defragment will it erase important files?

And should I do a clean up & defragment on everything listed there or only some? Thanks.

It you run disk clean up and disk defragment programe then there is no chance to erase any important files. disk cleanup service cleans only temp file, recylcle bin files, internet history, cookies etc. whichever you selected during disk cleanup. But never tick "compress old files".
