If you mean Disability Living Allowance there are two components: Personal Care and Mobility allowance. Each has three levels depending on the severity of a person's condition and how much care they are supposed to need. Personal Care is about £15, £40 and £55. Mobility Allowance is about £15, £25 and £45. If a person is on the higher rate they get a severe Disability Premium of about £45 on top of that, but it is very hard to get these benefits unless a persons health is so bad that they can literally do nothing for themselves, in which case the amount given is grossly inadequate because the cost of personal care and home help is astronomical, from about £9 an hour. Hence the high number of elderly and disabled people dying from accidents in the home, because they cant afford the care that they need.

My dad receives the disability living allowance which is about £46 per week, but he has the car now to help him get around more so all his money goes towards that.
To be honest I think they should receive more!!!
