It's an interesting question and one that i myself have thought of at great length. I don't think that there is a 'point' to being happy. Why is it that we try to make ourselves so? Well, simply because it feels good. And why not feel good?

To feel good inside and out. To be content with life and happy with my baby and grand-babies. To stay in my little house makes me happy especially when I can shut out the world. The point of being happy is to release all the pain inside and enjoy the simple things around you instead of finding the negative and hurting inside. I don't know about happy, but I like to be content and I find that at home. I hope you do to. Good luck!!!

I think it is something that all of us have asked at least once.
I also think that 'happiness' is a bit overrated.
Because each one of us is so different, our 'happiness is personal. What makes me content (happy), may or may not do it for you and vice versa. The point of it is to become a valuable member of society & to our family and friends. Once you find that contentment within yourself, you will find the point.

Thanks for the answer to me. And for you, Just be nice to everyone and you can see how happy you get, be loving to everyone and honest to your family. God is there for you and me. Family is there for you and me.
All good things are there and bad as well. Just make your life nicer by appreciating all the nice things. I am sure you will be happy by making things better for yourself.
Bye
