what's your budget?
Personally I loved Cornwall when I was living in London.
If you're looking to go abroad, Brittany in France is great and just a ferry ride away. Head for Dinan....
I'd recommend my present home (Cape Town) but you'd hit us in winter - August is the wettest month of our year!)

well, actually im goin on holiday 2 oz (australia) and cannot wait, cant wait to get out of this dump (england) and also if you cannot afford 2 go out there, why dnt u go somewhere in spain like seville....u can party ur brains out!!!
