The good witches in the 1st season of the winx club is a band of 5 fairies:
1. Bloom- Her power type is "Heart". She was an ordinary girl living in Gardenia. But when she meets Stella, she discovers that she also is a fairy and later discovers that she is the princess of a very powerful magic kingdom that existed years ago.
2. Stella- Her power type is "Sun". She is the princess of Solaria.
3. Musa- Her power type is "Music".
4. Tecna- Her power type is "Technology".
5. Flora- Her power type is "Nature".
In the 2nd season, another fairy joins the band who asks the winx club to help her save the pixies(small magical creatures) from Lord Darkar(the main villain) who is after the codeX so that he can open up a magic realm. Her name is Layla. She loves to dance and is also a princess.
The villains in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd season are the 3 powerful witch sisters:
1. Icy- Her power type is "Ice".
2. Darcy- Her power type is "Psychic".
3. Stormy- Her power type is "Storm".
We can never forget the specialists who later become boyfriends of the beautiful, talented witches.
1. Sky- He is a prince, popular among the girls and Bloom's boyfriend.
2. Brandon- He is flirty just like Stella and Stella's boyfriend.
3. Riven- The one who wants to stay alone & Musa's boyfriend.
4. Timmy- Great in computer technology just like Tecna and Tecna's boyfriend.
5. Helia- He joins in the 2nd season and his talents and abilities are appreciated by the fairies of the Winx Club. This cool guy spends time observing nature and drawing sketches and later becomes Flora's boyfriend.
If you want to know the minor characters, there are, of course, the teachers, Principals, pixies etc.
