As a mother i would do anything to protect my child and die for them without a second thought, because the power of love and love for my child allows me to put my fears aside in a heartbeat... most mothers would know this anyway.

What would you do? and for who?

Yes, for the people I care for. I went into deep water, not knowing how to swim, to rescue my little boy. It's something we do without thinking. I suspect that I would try to anything possible to keep any person safe. I've taken in so many homeless people since my husband and I have been married.....none now, and he keeps asking if I think maybe I am out of that phase of my life!

I don't think we really know what we would do (outside of our children, spouse, parents) until faced with a life and death situation, and then we go on instinct.

The one time I didn't help someone still haunts me, but I know it was the right thing to do. We were traveling with our 2-month old at Christmas, in a bad snow storm. 3 guys stopped our car and were very obnoxious and wanted to ride with us. I insisted that we were near a town and would send someone back for them. I think my ESP could have saved us on that one. They were trying to get in the car as we drove off. Good question. I guess my final answer is: I wouldn't help someone if I thought doing it would put my children in danger.

Only a mother can be brave enough to hang on to their child and keep them still when they have a gash in their leg open to the bone and it needs stitching. Only a mother can stop that child from looking at the hole in their leg and tell them that the doctor is just washing it while they put long needles into it. The mother does this while the father has to leave as they are feeling sick.
One example of what I would do for my precious children

I've never seen this kind of love
The kind that won't slip away
Yes I'm soaring through your heart
Don't you know I could not survive
Without you in my life
I would die for you
