It depends on the quality of the answers. If there's an obvious winner I will select them the next chance I get after the 4 hours. If the quality is poor I'll extend the question for a bit longer, in hope of getting a better answer.

I do it after 4 hours if I'm around. I've waited longer to pick one but I find I never get any more answer after about an hour after asking anyways.

I always give it at least one day. If I'm still hoping for more answers then I leave the question open for as long as I can, but I mostly choose the best answer after one day or so.

usually at the end of the four hours i already have a clear winner - but i always give it 24hours just incase someone else says something better.. but even if more people answer its generally the one i'dve picked in the first instance who still tops 'em all...

I enable it bypass 3 days because of the fact a number of my contacts felt like they weren't getting a huge gamble to respond to. yet whilst i'm being stated plenty, I supply them swifter so as that somebody gets the standards.
