The reason for preservatives is to give many foods a longer shelf life of like months when it comes to the stores.

The last time I tasted food that did not have preservatives was almost 20 years ago when I went to visit my mom's home country of Panama.

That depends on what kind of preservatives your talking about. There are artificial preservatives that devastate the liver and there are natural preservatives that work well with the body chemistry. Which ones are you talking about?
