Cmon people! Read her question! What part of "without having a DVD player" dont you understand? You can have software out the Yang, codecs up to your neck! A CD player will NOT read a DVD!

If the DVD-format file is on your hard drive, I don't see why you couldn't play it with a DVD player software.

u must have a codex install in your system to play the dvd fromat file with out the dvd player software

You could possible mount an image of the file and maybe you could use VLC to play it.

But if you only have the DVD disk the answer is no

Most cd or dvd drives come with cyberlinks PowerDVD player....Check the disks that came with your computer.
