someone said different beliefs and practices...gonna have to cite them cuz thats the words i wanna use.
But i dotn' think between religions....i think within the religion.
Well the religion states one thing, people believe different things, then they practice different things.
I think any religion, if you take their text....read the entire book. THen summarize it in 1 paragraph. All the summaries would be the same. ...the exact same. Leave out names, leave otu rules...just the meaning...waht is it saying.
Then you get power, money...greed. If you are charasmatic you can get anyone to listen to you. Especially teh dumber they are. Make sure you konw abou tthe people, say the right things that appeal to them...then interject your own views and they'll follow you.
Like the crusades. I don't believe a religious figure sanctioned that. Techncially the pope at the time, and i bet he did all his prayers and services and whatever the pope does, but i don't consider him catholic or representative of catholiscism. Nothing in that religion says that even if christians are allowed to practice peacefully in jerusalem, we must go and attack and slaughter all the jews and muslims. But it was done and said. Probably by manipulating passages from teh bible and his holy decree.
Now you're getting teh same things being said from the muslim fundies. In the end its not the religion, its the people. Doesnt matter what religion they are born into, chagne too...etc. That one person will always be that one person.

Read the Bible
there are many stories of war
the causes are the same:
disobedience of God's commands,
evil, hatred, sin, vengence, wickedness
2 Kings 14:15
As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, what he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
2 Kings 17:13
The LORD warned Israel and Judah through all his prophets and seers: "Turn from your evil ways. Observe my commands and decrees, in accordance with the entire Law that I commanded your fathers to obey and that I delivered to you through my servants the prophets."
2 Kings 17:15
They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their fathers and the warnings he had given them. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although the LORD had ordered them, "Do not do as they do," and they did the things the LORD had forbidden them to do.
2 Kings 17:23
until the LORD removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.
