No more after this because it gets annoying grr lol. ok what would you do eh? you maybe getting suspended right (for pathetic reasons I'd admit if they where genuine) you have an essay due in for today but you don't have it done and it's overdue. if i turn up and don't hand it in i'd go down for a detention which would make matters worse. i still don't have my tie (damn) and i have a test in the evening which I'm sure to fail. If i stay off my mam will go mad (even though it is my choice this year as it isn't "compulsory"(sp).. doing the A levels you know. If i was to stay off I could do that essay revise for test and get caught up on work however it would look bad on my already poor attendance. I can't win! What would you do? Hope you get to read this for a change ha x

For a start you need to get off here and you could make a start to that essay, stay off, do the essay and study for that test, good luck.

Don't run away from the problem - that's why things get worse! You CAN sort it out! Most important thing = exam, as I'm guessing you can't take it at a later date. So get revising for that and do your best job this afternoon. If you can get your essay done this morning too, go and hand it in today. If not, spend this morning revising, do your exam, come straight home and do you essay tonight - then hand it in tomorrow. Buy yourself a tie and if you don't have the money, go to lost property - they'll probably give you one for free!!

Once today is over make a pact with yourself to change your ways. Talk it through with your head of year / teacher / school counsellor and let them know you want to change. Tell them why your attendance has been bad and why you haven't been doing your work. If you go and speak to them like an adult, they'll treat you like one!

If you feel like you can't really handle your a-levels, speak to a teacher first, and maybe talk to them about leaving. Maybe look into a college course instead, if you feel that a-levels aren't for you.

Either way, you've got like 4 months of 6th form left, so change it round for yourself and sort it out! Good luck! Go and get it sorted!

I'd like to say the ...it isn't compulsary part isn't valid. Nothing is really compulsary (yeah i odn't know if i'm spelling it right either). Don't have to go to college, if you do does that mean its ok to just get C's.....? and it gets you better oppertunities in life.

Not entirely sure waht the A levels are, have heard of them, but yeah....its for advancement.

Hah, i got suspended for pathetic reasons before. 2 weeks. School hated that. I was the only person in the top 2 % of the class to get suspended...school really hated that image. Hell top 5 %.
Man, i managed to get soo much work done in that time. I mean classes are about 5% material..95% bs.
Half of my suspension term was inschool, so i just sat around talking to friends most of the day because i literally had nothign to do. One teacher even brought in movies for us to watch.

Again i don't konw what your school is like, how does attendance factor into graduating...etc. If its no biggie then take the day off. Otherwise, man up...dont' sleep until this is all done. Well do as much as you can, but get a 1-2 hour nap in there at teh end.

Then jsut F*ckin plan ahead. From what i hear..although you said that Level A isn't mandatory.....it almost is. If you're on a certain track in life....and you need this to get there, then it is mandatory even though you don't get in trouble for not going anymore.

I'm in college and i perosnally rarely go to class. Just read the book myself and get more information in 50 minutes than the teacher would since there are always the stupid question peopel wasting the time and then the teacher goes off track.

Reasses the situation man, plan in the future on what to do. People are saying why are you on here..do your essay. Thats a good point, but you need a place to vent....and take down some of the stress, so i wont' agree with them.

You really have a dilemma.

I would phone in sick. Attendance is the least of it. Then you can get the essay done, revise for the test and ward your mum off with a pretend illness so she feels sorry for you instead of mad at you. Just make sure you really do the work. Whenever I had the idea to take a day off to catch-up with work, I would end up doing nothing and get in to more trouble. LOL

Good luck.

Instead of coming on here - do a bit of your essay. Get
it printed. At least you will have had a try!!
As for the tie - blame your mom. (Mine would!)
Go in and do the revision there - then you won't lose
your mark. Mom will be happy. Tutor happy. (You
will probably feel like s*** but at least your're doing
what everyone wants you to do. Good Luck.

Stay up, get it ALL done and you will see that you can do ANYTHING!!!! YOU WILL WIN!!! Talk to a counselour at school and say how inundated you are and that you feel this way...BUT that you want it all done...and to ask for help...need not accept the words of this person, however, when one shows a seeking mind, others watch and want that person to win....of which...I am one.
Cheers

just go and do what you know on the test.. essays are ***** in your ear and are annoying as heck.. if i were you, id totally make up stuff just from what you already know and take that same mentality with you when you hit up the test.. take what you know.. and if you know more then 60% then hopefully you get lucky with about 20% of the rest.. anyways.. good luck dude...
