ur great grand mother was 1/2 ur grandmother would be 1/2 of that 1/4 and ur mother would be 1/2 of that 1/8 and you would be 1/2 of that 1/16 and ur child would be 1/32 i would probably not clam that ur Cherokee unless you join a Cherokee cult i think you dont have to pay taxes if you do

It depends on how much, if any Cherokee your other parent's ancestors were.
