I agree are mid Field should be
Left Downing/J Cole
Mid Attack Gerrard
Mid Defend Carrick/Hargreaves
Right Lennon/Pennant
With Lampard on the bench, if he can not play any other position I would think about dropping him, he is a bit off a one trick pony and you need versatile players in a England squad.

McClown has no idea if he plans to keep them both in the centre. He needs to play Barry on the left with Lennon on the right with defoe upfront.
Woodgate should start as centre-back alongside terry but Dawson is nowhere near good enough for the England team. Would be a spurs fan who reckons he should play

This will all depend on how the players will perform during the training.
A coach selects players in which fit to his system not just because you are good at your club etc...
Since they are so desperate with a win I think they'll end up delivering a positive result which is taking the whole 3 points.
Good Luck!

If you believe what you read in the papers, McClaren is going to drop Hargreaves in favour of a more attacking line up.
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so he's going to drop the on-form central midfielder in favour of us going gung-ho? Oh dear oh dear. Can he not just play the players in their proper positions to start the game and then if its all going pear shaped, stick your forwards on at half time or after an hour or something??

I agree. Too many players take their places for granted. A kick up the a*se might make them sit up and take notice, and actually start playing for their places.

Agree that Defoe should definitely be in there .... don't agree with both Gerrard & Lampard in midfiled. CLEARLY, it doesn't work. He should've stuck with Stevie G only !!! Is Lennon in tonight's line-up ???
