It is a wonderful place to live in many ways if you have money. It is beautiful, very varied, full of interest, with a rich folklore tradition and unique wild life. The people are utterly delightful. They are warm and friendly and artistically gifted, with great musical ability. But there is so much poverty there and with children outnumbering adults by two to one there is a serious economic problem. The slash and burn tradition of farming is destroying the rainforest and the habitats of so many of their unique specimens. It is subject to many natural disasters, especially cyclones, which cause further trouble for the population. However, it is a very lovable country and its inhabitants when they travel abroad will take a little of the red earth with them so that they feel they haven't left for good.

For me, it's not a good place to live, because I don't even know that country at all.
