Because it's natural human instinct to stay away from people who don't look safe. If you saw a man with filthy stained clothes, matted hair and mud on his face walking towards you, you'd actually be weary of him and try to avoid him. So in a way it's a good thing to judge people on looks because it keeps you safe.
But then it can also be a bad thing. That man could be a good person in need of help.

People stereotype other people based on looks because it's the first thing you notice about that person. Your outer looks are also a reflection of how you feel inside. So if don't make an effort, people will assume that you don't make an effort in your life in general. It's always worth taking 10 mins in the morning to tidy yourself up a bit and show that you care about yourself. Then people will assume you can care about others just as well.

I wear normal clothes and no one has called me "rediculous" to my face. Maybe ridiculous, but that isn't the same thing......hey, you, take that back.... :-)

What you wear is who you are and who you choose to be. I love it when my husband notices my new outfit and compliments me about it, everyone else could go watch that fashion channel for all I care, My meaning is to look good for my husband, he's a workout hottie, I love it when he compliments me......

Who are you living for??
