Computer ppl please help?! I recently made updates. Which one/s should I erase cause I think it's taking up

too much space. My computer has been freezing up a lot lately around 30 seconds each time and when I type it's a lot slower than usual. I was wondering if it's cause of my last updates. The last 2 were:
MS XML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978)
Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474)

Do you think this could be a reason my computer is slow? If so, where do I go to delete the program and which one do you recommend to delete? Note: I updated a security update just a month ago that my computer asked me to so not sure why I was asked to update again. This is a new laptop I baught in Dec. It was working fine until a week ago.

I'd recommend that you don't remove any Windows updates, as they are important to your computer's security. First, you should run a virus scan, spyware scan, and registry scan. There are many free software applications available that can run these scans. AVG Free is probably the best free virus scanner, while McAfee is a better paid solution. First thing first, when was the last time you did a DISK CLEAN UP and DISK DEFRAGMENT.. suggest that you do this first before you start deleting anything. GO to start >>> then to all programs >>>> then to accessories >>>> then to system tools >>>> then click on DISK CLEAN UP first and after that do the DISK DEFRAGMENT.

Suggest that you go to download. com too and download a registry cleaner theres plenty to choice from and there are some free ones (recommend ABEXO FREE REGISTRY CLEANER or EUSING FREE REGISTRY CLEANER) which removes the empty spaces after a registry cleanup and thereby reduces Windows registry size. Registry defragmentation increases the performance of your computer dramatically.
