I used to hate Most Haunted (too scared to watch alone!!) but when I moved in with my fella he got me into it as he loves it !!
I am now addicted and ww watch it every night on sky FTN channel.
Does anyone else watch it and do you believe it to be real or planned out? I think it is real.....Yvette was never the best actress in the world !! I must amit I only really like the show since David Wells joined the team, I don't like Derek Acorah......he does seem fake !

It's real. I know first hand that phenomenon like that can happen & the show seems real to me. I think sometimes there are occasions when either mass hysteria/overactive imaginations may play a part but I don't think the sounds, knocks, things moving etc are staged.
To all the skeptics out there who say that too much happens for it to be real: the more people (the Most Haunted team) go into those situations & try to communicate with spirits, the more open people become & so the phenomenon is more likely to happen to them more frequently. If they sent in a brand new team of people, not half of the stuff would happen & it would be like the MH 1st series again.
I have experienced plenty of things myself so I don't see why they would need to stage it.
Have you noticed, how the allocated "skeptical parapsychologists" they have on the show, seem to go from totally skeptical at the beginning of the series to realising there actually is something in it. Richard Felix went from one extreme to the other & now Keiren Okeefe (however his name is spelt) used to be extremely skeptical but now is often left speechless
They are going to have to keep getting in new skeptics as after one has experienced enough of those sort of things & not been able to explain them by any "normal logical" means, they start to realise there is more to it!

I love most haunted but think the same as you is it real or not. ?
Derek Acorah was to over the top for me and made me feel he was fake - I mean when his head started shaking about or when he used to talk as one of the spirits - come on give us some credit.
The thing that puts doubt in my mind is Yvette's husband Carl who always seems to feel something in whatever location they visit. Now he produces the show so he wants the ratings.......so it begs the question true or fake ??
I tend to believe in David Wells so watching him I would say - yes this could be true.
Does it make you laugh though when Yvette or any of the team start saying " COME FORWARD WE'RE NOT SCARED " and then they hear a noise and its first one to the door with Yvette screaming !
Still its a great show and it does it's job - it keeps us all thinking...

Iused to watch it, but DEREK ACORAH is just so fake, I cant believe that tv shows still introduce him as a psychic, David Wells on the other hand is good, yvette fielding only fronts the show cos her hubby is the producer, the only other prog she was on was blue peter, and she was hopeless on that. the show would be a lot better if they stopped sensationalizing everything. and had decent mediums on it. there are a lot about, and yes i do believe in it.

I think that Derek Acorah and anyone else there on a so-called 'professional level' are all acting. I think people like Yvette are caught up in the atmosphere.
I don't believe any of it, and yet put me in a darkened room with a silly man shouting and flailing his arms around, with camera crews knocking on the walls and making strange sounds, I think I would be a bit jumpy!

I don't know, something tells me it is fake, as it's too convenient that they seem to be able to get some sort of "evidence" every time, I don't think spirits are that predictable and sometimes he is way off mark with his information. I do believe in the spirit world, but I am not sure if I believe in Derek Acorah.

Most Haunted isn't staged.
My boyfriend and I met on a ghost hunt about a year and a half ago, and have been on ghost hunts since.
Nothing has been staged in MH or in any of the locations we have been on, but we have had stuff happen similar to things that have happened on the show.
I suggest that you go with this company who have exclusive access to Woodchester Mansion.
I have been twice (second time I stupidly went back for charity.
It's truly terrifying and no one can explain how a large wooden door at the other end of the corridor can slam shut of it's own accord when we're at the other end of the corridor.

They're definitely acting. Some of the crew have caught Derek Acorah out before - planting fake "clues" about imaginary people who have lived in the house... and then he starts talking about them as if he was communicating with their spirits...

my desicion on this is split! I love the show and watch it when I can, however as much as I want to believe its real, some aspects of the show are just very over the top. As "fake" as derek used to be, he was my fav...........maybe just for the comedy value of the show but now he's not in it, its just not the same!!
Real or fake, long may the show continue!!!
