Hi Rianne,
In order to make the story work, you need an "arc" to connect all of the other things that are going to happen.
For example -- look at Harry Potter. There are many things that happen in each Harry Potter book -- tons of sub-plots and characters. But, the arc that joins everything together and gives the works a unity is the grand strory of Harry's ultimate conflict with Voldemort.
You need a similar arc. It isn't enough that this person be born again and again, and each time face trials and tribulations. That, in and of itself, isn't interesting. What you need is a grand quest to give unity and purpose to all of the other things that happen.
I'm just thinking off the top of my head -- but something like, he has to find the cure for vampirism or he will keep being reborn until he does -- something like that. Do you see? You need a grand quest -- like Frodo going through hell to destroy the ring.
So -- what is your protagonist's main quest? What is his ultimate dilemma? What is the final conflict/mystery/goal? There has to be a point of final resolution.
Hope this helps. Cheers.

It would need a lot of development. First of all, can a witch make someone a vampire? Secondly, the "trouble along the way" - you would need several subplots and other characters. Then you would have to work very hard to avoid the vampire stereotypes and books like those out there already. It would take a lot of character development -- how does this vampire feel about his mother for one thing. But if you could pull it off and make it original, sure I would. Pax - C.

It bores me. It doesn't seem original, and, half vampire? How exactly does someone become a half vampire? Unless vampires are a separate species, but that'd just be copying things like Blade and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
My advice?
Stay away from vampires and witches.

i'm efficient you've heard of the radical "abducted". i could really like if yet another tale of similar type yet ordinary and extra "in the present day" language became written. some thing about an eco-friendly lady/boy on an adventure, how they arrive across the right thanks to understand the darker aspect of their loved ones. They get to understand the international is going round by technique of a lot lies, hatred, greed etc. yet jointly they meet some form hearted human beings which makes them comprehend the international isn't all that undesirable. on the acceptable, how the total adventure impacts their personality. i in my opinion like tender, satisfied endings :) i'm 19, lady

it sounds like you are making a hybrid off of Buffy-Angel-Charmed kind of series. If you want to make a convincing story think deeper about the kind's of personalities you want them to have. Really dig into their psyche's. The problem with fantasy type stories is that they are already one step removed from the reader's experience; to be successful you really have to dig deep to bridge that gap. Read Vampire Lesbian Pulp Fiction for inspiration
