I mean like I have this one outfit that looks really good on me, and it's a thin long-sleeved top and a short skirt that go together really well, so people totally don't notice that I'm wearing long sleeves, or at least they don't think anything of it cause it's a cute outfit that totally looks appropriate for summer even though it has long sleeves.

But that's one day out of however often I do laundry, and it's really important that my arms be covered all the time, and that people not notice that they always are (like they never notice that it's weird that I always wear long sleeves cause it always seems like it's a perfectly normal thing to wear even though it's summer).

Any creative ideas for other ways to pull that off without drawing attention to that it's a long sleeve shirt in summer?

I do this all the time, try wearing a nice jacket over a short sleeved top, I wear a nice denim jacket and jeans, occasionally I get asked if I'm hot, but no one notices the long sleeves. You could try wearing something thats just one part of a whole outfit, with long sleeves, but it only goes around your shoulders and ties at the front. Its best to try and wear long sleeved tops or jackets that dont seem hot to wear, it attracts less attention. Eg. White is a better colour than black, blue is better than red.

Hope you find something useful in what i just said, good luck.

What I do is just scrunch up/roll up the sleeves then it looks like 3/4 sleeves, especially if its thin it wont look too bad, but usually in the summer at school i see a lot of people wearing skirts & long sleeved shirts and i dont think its anything out of the norm because it does get cold in our school lol

A great way to do this would be to wear those filmy lightweight (not quite see-through) blouses that are around this season - leave it undone, so you're wearing it like a cardigan or jacket. Wear a cami top or singlet in a matching or toning colour underneath.

You can mix and match that top blouse with a different cami, and it won't register that you've worn that top already this week, because it will look different with a different colour cami.

You can do this with cotton blouses too, and as the weather gets cooler, just make it a heavier fabric blouse. The top underneath could be a t-shirt with a shaped neckline - a v-shape looks pretty good.

For a really casual fun party or beach look, you can tie the two bottom corners of the blouse into a loose knot at the front.

Assuming your need to keep your arms covered constantly, I would suggest you wear thin, long sleeved shirts with semi-transparent sleeves - these always are too thin to wear in colder weather but don't look awkward in summer. Also, try tops where you wear a tank top under the see-through long sleeved blouse. Or for a sportier look, wear a brightly coloured tank top over a darker/less bright long sleeved shirt - it's a visual trick that will sort of fade the shirt under away and draw attention to the tank top.

I use to weigh 275 lbs. and hated the scars on my arms (plus, I freckle!). To cover my arms, I used to wear loose sheer material tops with generous sleeves or cotton tees in light colors. Target always has a wide selection in regular and plus sizes.

My size has changed to an 8 through hard work, and , frankly, my arms have become one of my best features, but I still appreciate the coverage (professional and modest). You will find your style of sleeves that suit you. Think STYLE, not FASHION. You are an original.

Go for thin, light sort of fabrics, lighter colours, and stick to tops with open necklines (ie nothing heavy, black, or turtleneck).

Anything can look summery if it doesnt look like youd be really hot (temperature wise) wearing it.

Another great accessory perfect for you is the crop cardie, you know those little things that ONLY cover your arms and the top part of your back?

you should wear any long sleeve, people shouldnt notice unless you draw attention to yourself, ie like if you start feeling that they notice you because you wear longsleeves then they will start to notice you. just ignore them, but if you want ideas wearing plain longsleeves instead of the bright and colorful ones. wear longsleaves that look like t-shirts or the ones that look like your wearing 2 shirts in one. if it looks good then nobody should question you wearing a longsleeve.

i think you worry too much.

either wear them, or don't wear them, simple as that.

are you really that bothered about what other people think? i doubt anyone is walking around waiting to check whether you are wearing long or short sleeves.
