It's my experience that almost anything advertised as a 'secret' is anything but. It's pretty universally just a ploy to get you interested in something that has so little merit on its own that if they tell you even the smallest part then you will dismiss it out of hand as laughable. But by suggesting that it's mysterious and 'secret', they get people to disengage their logic. The movie "The Secret" is no exception.

And if you're talking about the same Bill Harris addendum that I'm thinking of (link 1), then it's no surprise that you're underwhelmed. There he reveals that the REAL secret is to work hard and thoughtfully. (Boy... I'm glad he told me THAT. It would NEVER have occurred to me that I could get stuff by WORKING for it!)

To me it just seems like a desperate attempt to salvage some kind of respectability after being associated with mumbo-jumbo that obviously doesn't work. He even says as much in the exerpt - lots of people contact him and tell him that it's completely ineffective. His response: the law of attraction doens't really work.

Of course, he tries to make it seem as if that's NOT what he's saying. But he never makes a distinction between the results of a person working hard but with a bad attitude and one working hard but with a good one. He mentions authors with good attitude and magical-seeming success, but never accounts for ones who LOATHE writing but are successful at it anyway. His emphasis of action over attitude, in other words, just proves that attitude isn't really a significant component.

Apparently THAT is the secret - don't trust anyone trying to sell you secrets (he goes on to do just that... trying to push his secret meditation devices. Some people never learn).

The democrats recognize in the event that they found out the contents in their proposed expenses, there could be 1000s at their doorsteps protesting and knocking on their doorways. They are good mindful that almost all of Americans don't aid a central authority takeover of wellbeing coverage. I do not realise their feverish want to lose their majority in 2010 however that's precisely what will occur if the cross this monstrosity.

Why would someone else`s talk disappoint you? Have you not attempted to verify anything? So do it now. Choose what you want, make it odd enough so you will immediately recognize yourself as the source. It is easy. Bit by bit your verifications will begin to solidify and influence your whole life like it has mine. It is great fun.
