They can get up to 2" in an aquarium, but 1.5" is about typical so your have a bit of growing to do yet. Yours are really babies and even though they aren't max size yet, yes they can breed as long as they are sexually mature. They don't get pregnant like livebearers do, the females lay eggs and the male fertilizes the eggs after they are laid. The eggs hatch in about 2 days depending on tank temperature and the babies grow quickly on infusoria, baby brine shrimp and microworms. Don't expect any eggs to last long in a community tank or even just with the parents. Like many egg scattering fishes they are ravenous egg eaters and will eat any they can find. They males will be the smaller, slimmer fish with brighter colors. They really get noticable at breeding time when they turn a bright cherry red. They females will be slightly plumper and get really fat and full of eggs when they are ready to breed.

Cherry Barbs

Cherry barbs will grow in length up to 2 inches (5cm).

At breeding time, males attain a deep red color. Females are lighter, with yellowish fins (Pictures in the source link).

An open water, substrate egg-scatter, the adult barbs will spawn around 200 to 300 eggs in a single spawning. The pair will try to eat as many eggs as possible when finished.

The eggs hatch in 1 to 2 days and then will be free-swimming after 2 more days. After 5 weeks, the hatchlings will be about 1cm long and easily identifiable as cherry barbs.

Hello, cherry barb grow to about 5cm.
The cherry-red coloration is most evident in fully mature males in spawning condition wheras females are slightly duller with the reddish coloration largely restricted to the area around the gills.
