hell no... people don't tend to have the same sleep patterns... not fair to expect your partner to do as you do...

Well I can't fall asleep if I know my fiance is up somewhere and not in bed with me, cause I just feel comforted with him next to me. So if he's awake I usually get up. We always try to sleep together because we live in different countries and don't have a lot of time to stay next to each other before we have to go back home and spend another year waiting to see each other again.

he doesnt expect it- nor do i. Most nights we go to bed together at the same time- but sometimes we dont. We just had another child though- and lately we havent even been sleeping in the same room- so this doesnt really apply to us now.

My sleep buddy is still pole dancing, oops I mean working, when I turn in but she expects me to be in bed when she gets home. Hope that helped...peace

My bf whom I am gonna marry expects me to switch off the tele and get into bed and force myself to sleep coz he hates me to be awake and he sleeps by 9 or 10 or 11 PM according to his wish

yeah but he's dealing. I'm pregnant and have restless leg syndrome which keeps me getting up in the night over and over. Many times I cannot go to sleep at all.
We've compromised; I go to bed with him but I can get up if I've laid in bed at least 30 mins or until he falls asleep. Then he doesn't complain to me about not sleeping next to him all night.

No. He falls asleep almost as soon as he walks in the door. I go to bed a few hours later than him. But it works for us.

No most nights i stay up on the computer or he stays up with mates while i go to bed then other nights we go to bed together.
