india lose because of thier lazyness. they dont have zeal to win but srilankans have that zeal to win ,
as dravid said if the top order does not click, nobody can save the team.it is simply a case of our so called SUPERSTARS failing to deliver , All players r play not good..

India made it to the finals in 2003 with virtually the same team if not a better batting side in 2007. They were simply outperformed by a more hungry Bangladesh as well as Sri Lanka. The Indian team looked slow, clumsy and out of shape with no concentration whatsoever. Big wake up call for India. Too bad that this year might be Sachin's, ganguly and Kumbles last world cup.

India had comprehensively beaten Sri Lanka in the ODI series held at India just before the world cup. Hence India was capable of beating them in the world cup also. However, on the particular day of the match, Indian batsmen and players miserably failed to play to their potential, whereas Sri Lanka played far better than India.

India lost the match to Sri Lanka because of casual batting. Utthapa was trying to be over confident with his batting and was going for every ball rather than shot selection. Ganguly had mixed thoughts, he has been playing for survival after his comeback to earn his place in the team .His strike rate has been very poor. He played irresponsible shot in the air and was caught. There was no need to play such shots but try to build up an inning. Sehwag's contribution was fairly OK. It is high time that Tendulkar retires gracefully and give chance to youngsters. As one ages so do the reflex slow down, otherwise Richard, Gavaskar, Kapil Dev would have been playing today. Tendulkar was beaten by share pace of the ball. His reflex were slow. Yuvraj got out because of a silly run out. Dhooni was plumb before the wicket showed that he is not fit enough to face a world class spinner. Dravid tried his best and played his aggressive shots too early. We cannot expect too much from the tail.

India would have played far better cricket then any other team. The only problem was they were playing under tremendous pressure. They could sustain the pressure created by media, and indian fans. The real culprit is media who created all this drama. Sharad Pawar also said the same thing

1."Lack of Mental Strength".
2. "They are only paper tigers"

They always fails to deliver their best in crucial matches. Each and every player are talented, but the main trait is missing that, how to handle the situation (pressure ). If you check recent crucial matches you will notice that mostly India Lose in final matches
