i was told that good friday is not a bank hoilday and that i had to work as i normaly work on fridays

Here in the US neither of those are "federal/bank" holidays. Therefore, you will not get any extra compensation for your time.

Good friday is not counted as a holiday. And Easter is on a Sunday so if you have the day off, you will not get holiday pay. Ask your boss about the company policys

Check you employee handbook-most US employeers don't recognize Easter or Good Friday. Sorry.

You won't get paid time and a half for either day UNLESS it is a designated holiday with the company you work for.

yeah your right it is not holiday for extra money but no work. however easter is one of those days u can get paid for no work!

Up to your employer and Easter Monday is only in Canada, so dunno, I'm in USA
