What have you been up to girl? You may be true to your screen name. (lol)

A cafeteria is a place to eat, to "break bread together". It is a social gathering place because you are not eating at home, but out in public. Looking in front of you sounds like you are looking into the future, possibly looking at the girl you could be in the future. The two girls whispering pertains to secrets, generally. You are concerned about others opinions of you and you worry. Laying on the floor was an excellent visual interpretation of "Laying Low," trying to keep out of the public eye or not wishing to be seen.

Realizing that this was a dream was an excellent opportunity to change the dream to what you would like it to be. This is called lucid dreaming. You are dreaming the dream, but you consciously know it is a dream, but it still stays real in your mind

I have read that all the characters in a dream are aspects of yourself.projecting how you see the world. So you must hold the one girl in some regard, or she is a part of you that is distant, separated from you in some way. Maybe she is the person you were.

You are the one who determines what the dream really means. This was just an example of what I thought the dream meant. Go through your dream and write it down. The subconscious, when looked at objectively can have a sense of humor. Very good dream, it brought up all sorts of things for you to consciously work on and mull over.

The purpose of dreams, as far as we understand them, is to process the vast amount of information that comes in through your senses each day whilst you're awake.

On this basis the "meaning" of your dreams is simply that you are making sense of information which previously didn't have a "meaning", for you, because it hadn't been processed so as to fit into your mental maps of the world (all your existing beliefs, ideas, values, etc.).

Given what seems to be going on, it's not really surprising that lots of things appear in your dreams that have nothing to do with what has been happening in your life just before the dream occurs. Things can appear in your dreams that have been part of your memories as far back as you started forming memories - or anytime in between then and now.

Nor do the things in your dreams have to be obviously related to each other. Like I said, dreaming is a process of finding/making meaning, and the brain can draw from anywhere in its huge store of memories in order to carry out that process.

So when, if ever, you happen to notice yourself having what seems like a weird dream in future you can literally rest assured that everything is OK. Your brain is actually doing, with great skill, one of the jobs it was designed to do

don't get caught up in the details. Take your dreams for their "outline" or the major points - this will help you to be able to interperate them.
I think your dream means- people are saying things to you- but they are whispering and your dream is telling you that you need to start paying more attention to what people are trying to tell you
