I'm part of the youth population and unlike what has been said, I believe that our aim in our lifes today was just the same as the people in the older generation when they were youths. We want success, happiness, love, friendship and if possible a little fun in the process.
In fact, I think our aims are the aims of everyone living in the fastly growing economic society of ours. We do not just think about "sex and rock and roll" nor do we all self-indulgent in superficial things in life-- don't group all of us as rotten eggs and give us credit when due. Please do not over-generalise.

Getting to the last level of the latest video game without getting killed. I have seen that kids now are not willing to work from the bottom and work their way up, they think that they can come into a workplace and tell the supervisor how to run it. If they do not make what they think they are worth they quit, nor are they willing to do the crappier work that is usually associated with starting at the bottom.

Definately not what they are getting. The way they dress and act is totally not how they should be. But we have no body to blame but oursleves because that is how we have raised the. They have grown up knowning that MATERIAL POSSESIONS are important. When in all reality, they are the least important thing that you should have in you life.
