He is the most conservative president in US history. He also has proven to be almost exclusively partisan, not flexible, harden to his philosophies without negotiation, and only turns to his inner-circle of advisors and administration members for advice. I would not call him ill-informed, just stubborn. As for his leadership style, he definitely does not make decisions according to poll numbers. That's why his leadership approval ratings have been in the 30 percentile for the past two years. He is as hard-headed as Congress is. He hasn't been the unifer he promised to be, but neither has Congress. So the result is "gridlock".

He is definitly stubborn and arrogant..compromising? I seriously doubt it, I get the impression that he makes his mind up with the help of some of his closest advisors and sticks to that no matter how bad a decsion it was. Oh, and Jen he was eleceted to the office of president, this country doesn't elect its Presidents with the popular vote, but by the electoral college, the results in the 2000 election have happened before ie where the winner of the popualr vote has lost. Sometimes hard to understand I know...and incredibly frustrating alot, but it is what we have...

Last time I checked no one on here has privilege to the information that he has, so it is hard to say. I can tell you this though, the Democrats who voted for this war had access to the same intelligence before they voted for the war. Don't buy the lie from the Dems that Bush lied to them. Since when have they ever believed him anyway? This whole thing has become a pissing contest to get the upper hand in the next election. If Bush was as bad as they say, Congress would have already moved to impeach him.

I don't think he's a bad guy but I do think he got talked into doing things he probably wouldn't have otherwise by his close advisors. He is stubborn though and definitly not the quality of leader that should be president. He'd be more suited to be the ambassador to Saudi Arabia I think.

I think the first answer already tells you what kind of people support bush :D ...answering without reading the whole question...
The only problem with bush compared to the rest of the presidents is that he is a certified idiot with an IQ barely above 80 (actually, is it really above 80?). Otherwise, he tries to act in a way totally in accordance with the international politics of the US for the last couple of decades - and fails.

None of the above. Bush was chosen in 1999 as a good front man for those who are actually calling the shots--too dumb to think for himself and he carries a recognized name. I always laugh when I hear someone say that "Bush decided such and so". President Bush does not decide anything. He is manipulated by folks like Rove and Cheney who actually decide the agenda. The "Bush Administration" is only so in name. One could see this even during his first run for the presidency--always looking to others for what to say and blowing it when he was forced to speak for himself. He's a pawn in a game that's way over his head.

I think Bush is the best. I think he is trying to compromise because he is very informed and smart. He also knows Pork, when he reads it. Like the one he is fixing to veto (yea), As for as other branches of the government, they are all involved in one way or another, so some one has to keep a steady , informed position, and he does.

he is an idiot who allows evil people to tell him what to do.he is evil incarnate,he cares nothing at ALL about the American people,he has acted like a dictator.but controlled by every big business that has bought his elegance,
I am totally ashamed of him for being my President, but i pray for him.for his soul, he needs prayer
But who will be better then him .when we elect another President ,that will not be bought and sold, ,i don't trust any of them.we need to stop this buying of our Presidents by big business interests.the main one is the war machine, it must be stopped from controlling so much that the feds do, we pay half our taxes to the military machine, half, we have 5000 nukes we don't need that much military power.Think of what we could do for this country if we used some of that money on US,
