My 10th board exams are over and I would like to use my time to increase my knowledge of English literature. So please suggest some really good poems.

here goes a few favourites;you might like them as well :
strange meeting(wilfred owen).
we are seven & lucy poems(wordsworth)
daffodils(wordsworth).
war is kind(stephen crane).
the forsaken merman(mathew arnold).
the man he killed(thomas hardy).
remembering that island(thomas mcgrath).
the human abstract(blake).
ode to a nightangle(keats).
on being asked for a war poem (yeats).
i stood tiptoe upon a little hill (keats).
the little boy lost(blake).

Read ' The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost! It's cool and really meaningful. All poems by Robert Frost are really interesting and his poems make the readers to enjoy!!

Try reading the following:-
1)''Strange Meeting'' by Wilfred Owen !
2) ''Charge of the Light Brigade '' by Lord Tennyson !
3)'' Everyone Sang'' by Siefred Sassoon ( try reading more poems of him ) !
4) ''Upagupta'' by Rabindranath Tagore !
5) ''Daffodills'' by William Wordsworth !

Also try reading some good bengali poems !!

Additional details:
Also read the book ''Little Women'' by Louisa Alcott , its a story about four girls growing up who love their mother & their father is in the army !

the complete works of edgar allen poe are wonderful, the essential rumi (translated by coleman barks ) are incredible, words of love by pearl s buck are heart touchingly beautiful, my very own poems are quite good ( i think! lolol) feel free to check out my blog and give me any feedback you feel moved to.
