Actually, there has been NO study showing that Bras do anything at all to fight the effects of gravity.
What you're hearing is basically well done advertising campaigns. Bras provide shaping when being worn, provide comfort and support during excercise and acivities, and that's about it.
They have ZERO effect upon breast development.
Wear what you're comfy wearing and be happy.

Wearing a bra and breast growth are in no way proportional, meaning that regardless of what you wear around your breasts, if will not have a direct affect on the growth of your boobs. If I were to make my brother wear my bras for 3 years, his nipples will still be nipples, and the same is true if I make a girl wear my bras for the same amount of time.
Wearing a bra does provide support, but all support is in this case, is lifting of the breasts that will make us look more femenine. Think about it, if fat men wore bras, then it would have the same effect on them.
Cancer is caused by an abnormal replication of the DNA within the cells. Cancer risk increases when you cause your cells to replicate faster. An example would be, being under the sun for too long or exposing yourself to toxinogens. So how in the world will a bra have an effect on this? It shouldn't, and if people are saying that it forbidds circulation, then they need to go into a store like Victoria's Secret and have a fitting done for them because chances are that they are wearing the wrong size.
A good bra, is a bra that fits, one that does not cause circulatory problems and other issues.
I hope this helps, I typed this entire message braless, as a matter of fact, if I don't leave home, I don't wear a bra, its much more comfortable that way. But no running around the house.

I only wear a bra when I have to such as for when I have to go out.
As for the wearing of a bra all the time causing breast cancer that is not correct. It's a very old myth. When I am at home I do not wear a bra under anything because it would be too uncomfortable for me.
My mom has slept in her bra before without problems but I don't because I don't feel comfortable with doing that when it comes to my sleeping positions.
And no I have not seen any kind of evidence to show that wearing a bra restricts the growth of the breast.

I wear a bra everytime during the day. However, I take it off, right before I go to bed. I was told the same thing, that wearing a bra for a long period of time can cause breast cancer, but there has not been any scientific proof to this, that I know of.

I've never heard of it restricting breast growth, but I have definitely read that wearing them too much can dramatically increase the risk of breast cancer, because it prevents natural lymph circulation and toxin removal from the area. Apparently in cultures where women never wear bras, breast cancer is completely unheard of.
I only wear them when I absolutely have to, like business meetings. Any other time, I go without. If people want to look, fine, I'm not getting dead because someone else has got a problem with my nipples.

Um it's not a myth, it's not old it's quite current, and if you haven't seen the studies you just haven't been paying attention, there's PLENTY of evidence. Some links below would be recommended reading.

Honey LISTEN TO ME!
back in the 70's & 80's we were taught that same stuff so i didn't wear a bra when sleeping...now at 40 years my breast droop down towards the floor!! It is NOT sexy !And now I am wearing a bra nitely. PLEASE if you are a "bouncy B" or higher
wear a bra when sleeping. They make "lounge bras" or something like that made of pure cotton fabrics.
Your built- -in bra tops sound perfect.
Support the troops or you'll regret it!!

Overall there's no evidence to really suggest that wearing a bra or not will be more or less healthy for you in any way.
If you have larger breasts wearing a bra MAY help reduce sagging as it does add additional support against the natural effects of gravity. There is no way to prove it as different people have different levels of skin elasticity. A DD woman who wore bras every day may still sag at 22 years old where as a DD woman who never wore a bra in her life may not sag at all. Both nature and nurture can play big roles here.
Wearing a bra that doesn't fit right can cause problems in restricting blood flow and/or tissue growth.
I'm a DD with, IMHO, quite lovely breasts. I'm 31 and only wear bras in professional settings or at the gym. In the first I simply don't want to have to defend my hatred for all things bra to women who think those who don't wear them slutty (you know, the slaves to bras) or men who are too stunned by a woman daring not to wear one to actually stop staring. At the gym I wear it for actual comfort. Running without a bra with DDs is just not comfortable!
The biggest reason we wear bras is for social convention. They place breast tissue where it is most aesthetically pleasing and reduce the motion of them.
Those tops you mention, with the built in bras, are useless to me. They simply do not offer enough support for anything. As far as I can tell, if they do anything for you then you probably can look just as good and have less discomfort without them.
I find no bras as comfortable as being without one. I see no reason to wear one unless it increases my physical or social comfort enough to mitigate the discomfort and restriction of the device itself.
Men wear jock straps and cups when the discomfort of those are mitigated by the way they prevent injury and discomfort for athletic injuries. Imagine if we didn't have to deal with accusations regarding our virtue if we chose not to wear bras.
At least we don't have to wear corsets, anymore, to prove our value as women. Or bind our feet!

Wearing a bra for an extended length of time does NOT increase breast cancer risks.
A bra is great for support. just change it (cleanliness) and make sure it is not tooo restrictive if you wear it at night.
What you are doing is fine.
