I love to build them with the children. I hate to watch other people destroying sand castles on the beach: someone else's creative efforts. It is for the sea to come in and knock them down. Just like in life, nothing stays the same forever and everything has a natural cycle only sometimes humans intervene and knock everything out of kilter!

I've been used to built big ones when I was a child, and before I left the beach I kicked them down.
Never let the other to ruin what I made!

I usually build them, then my older brother would kick them down! Then I'd bury him in sand!

I like to build sand snowmen. I do this and it never fails someone will ask me what I built and when I tell them they are a snow family (mom, dad, kid) they always tell me that snowmen don't live in CA. and I have to say they are on vacation.
