Our garbage doesn't have to be sorted. Everything is taken to a central recycling plant where it's all sorted and recycled.
Glass is the only thing that can't be sorted, so we save the jars and take them to the recycling "igloos" where we throw them in and make wonderful breaking sounds.
We keep aluminum cans and crush them. When we have a car load we sell them for scrap.

We recycle plastic bottles and paper. You have to take them to the transfer station yourself. It's voluntary so of course no one does. In Chemung Co. NY It's required. They recycle glass, metal cans, aluminum, paper, and plastic.

I am a recycling freak! I feel guilty if I throw anything out that could be recycled.

I live on a military base and it's required of us to recycle.. If we don't we get fined.. I think it should be like that everywhere.. What will the world be like for our children if we don't conserve now?

If I don't recycle - the council will not take away my rubbish. So there, I have no choice.
