It is said that God's work must truly be our own. We must obey the rules and morals of society. "Render to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

First of all, in our justice system, it is not one man with godlike powers of life and death over the convicted felon, it is a jury of the criminal's peers that makes the decision whether or not to sentence a person to death. Further, the people in the states that allow the death penalty voted to allow it for the worst criminals. Rather than an act of a man excercising the powers that should be God's, it is the will of the people that allows the death penalty to be carried out, and it is reserved for the worst criminals who have virtually no possibility for reform.
Thus, the death penalty is society telling the criminal, "Based on your actions, we don't believe you will ever reform. The death sentence is the only possible action in order to stop your hurting society as a whole".
Also, depending on your religion, note that the death penalty was used in the Bible and is sanctioned in other religious texts. Jesus did save a sinner from being stoned to death, but also note that he believed that person was capable of reform.

Some people just live their lives in such a way as to deserve a good death sentence. If someone murders you, do they think they are God and was your death justified? Well since it was you who died and knowing how you felt about the situation we will see if we can get his sentence reduced to 90 days probation. Now, did you leave anyone behind like a family member or close friend who might need to be protected from this guy who snuffed you out?

First of all, the question should be can man become God? And the answer is "No man cannot become God, man is man and God is God, He alone is God b4 Him there was none and after Him there would not be another, He is invinsible and immortal".
well to your question on death sentence, if the laws of the land permits death sentence, then why do those things that would attract such a cruel penalty

Man is man and God is devine; man can't be God. Now back to your question on death penalty. The Law needs to protect the citizens or people of that country. Without laws, the country would be in a great mess. Death penalty can be justified if the crime committed is serious such as murder or transacting in illegal and potion stuffs such as drugs. Do not forget that one person's misdeeds can caused millions to suffer especially the next-of-kins thus death penalty can be justifiable.

Death penalty is good is some cases. Do not use the word God in this way. God is in heaven. Man is on earth. There are God's law, then there is Law of the Land, made by man. Some one rape your small sister or brother, kill a family member, you would want the death penalty, do not keep trying to fool yourself into thinking you would not.

The Bible says an "eye for an eye"...If someone kills someone else they are not thinking, Am I justified in taking this person's life?...They just selfishly do it...Why should a murderer get special treatment...Especially a special treatment that they never thought to afford their victim or their victim's family...I feel that Man is not becoming GOD when he takes a life for a life...he's fulfilling the word of GOD
