Well, it depends on several factors, 1) What kind of Processor you have, 2) What kind of Case or tower you have and 3) Probably the motherboard too. Do you have a program that clocks the speed of the fans, say like mine is called "Core Center" and it has a beep, or warning if the fans don't work or stop working at their best that it goes off, or shuts down the computer. I have an AMD KN8 Neo4 F 939 mobo, with a AMD Athlon 64 2.4 gig Venice processor, and it came with it on the install disk for the mobo, so maybe check the disk or check with the company of the motherbard/processor and see if theres anything. The only other info i can give is 1) Has it shut down recently? 2) Your probably ok if it didn't. Mine has been shutting down, and i opened the case a bit and its been working fine until i get more fans.
Mine is running at:
Clocked at 2412 Mhz (2.4 gig)

CPU temp: 95 F. CPU FAN: 3245
System Temp: 87 F. NB Fan: 6026

Sorry i don't know whats normal for me either, but i figure that you can't have too many fans, and if it shuts down then thats a sign! Hope that this helps, good luck.
