my laptop has already vista installed in it, but i want to change it to xp due to the bugs present in vista, for a while.hoping a good response, thank you!!

Can't go back without blowing away the drive.

Have you done all the updates? Have you reported the problems? I haven't seen any bugs yet, but you can report them and ask for a fix.

as vista's requirements is more to an updated pc, i'm sure your laptop can support an xp. but my suggestion is that you do the windows update as there will be downloadable hotfix from time to time. but make sure your vista is genuine or else some system couldn't run properly. these hotfix also apply to xp user before it become stable, so i don't think degrading your current vista is necessary. report any bug persist and wait for the hotfix

I'm sorry to say, but there's no way you can't prevent from your drive from being wiped out. Just do a clean re-install of xp with your xp cd.

yes you can you have wipe the drive and install xp
