I KNOW WHAT TO DO!! First of all don't panic!!!

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO!!!

- if it is charged - click on menu and the play and pause button on your iPod for about 5 or 6 seconds until a silver iPod apple shows and there you go it is done...

Also another way is to hook it up to your computer with your USB chord to the computer - it will help too

To reset an iPod:

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

This happened to me just recently. I just couldn't figure out what to do, when I just let the battery run out. Then I just recharged it and it was back to normal.
