if you wer told you had to spend ' years' in a location like this, like a deep underground cavern with no light and freezing temperatures, could you articulate how youd feel about this and what youd do?
the pitch dark cavern would have ' miles' deep potholes in various locations around the cavern to.
so if you fell into one of these potholes, you would never be able to be found again, and you would fall deeper into the cavern.
remember, theres no light, as dark as can possibly be. your spending years in there. freezing temperatures.
how would you feel? what would you think? what would you do?

unless you could light a fire to keep warm and get a regular supply of food you would soon die.
not being able to interact with anyone would destroy your soul along with the prevailing conditions.

What a grim subject!!!

When I was 9, I was locked in an attic when I was at boarding school, by the head teacher. That was how I was dealt with because I had refused to speak to anyone for about 2 years.

(I couldn't speak English & I was trying to hold onto my first language, German. & I gave up talking because everyone shouted at me when I did try to speak...)

Anyway, the attic was dark & cold.
I remember sitting on the floor & thinking OK, if that's what they want, I'll stay here till they let me out.

During the 2nd night, there was a loud bumping sound near me. I jumped up & started screaming. I beat my fists on the door desperate to get out.
The head mistress opened the door, light flooded in & she said: "Are you going to speak English?"
I nodded my head.

(The noise had come from some pipes in the attic).

That experience suggests to me a longer time spent in darkness & cold, could cause a person to break down.

As for the conditions you cite, I guess if the person really knew survival was hopeless, they would lie down & sleep hoping for hypothermia...

You obv. would die within a matter of a couple of hours without a electricity and a computer to access internet porn. Miles below the earth I would imagine would be pretty cold so I would guess you would freeze to death, if not starve or dehydrate to death. Maybe you could find some magic rocks and move them around then run like hell when the sleevestacks come after you

Yousimply cannot go long in a freezing envoronment.
