Why this day and age is it not prejudice when a black person puts down other races?

Or state that they are miss treated because of skin color ?
And why is it accepted that black people can be prejudice?

ie. Black people can have a "college fund" a "college" that only allows blacks, but if another race ever did this they would be RACIST and shamed for this. ( Please do not take offence to this question I am in no way shape or form racist against ones skin color....altho I will admit I am against Stupidity. )

It is NOT acceptable for blacks to put down other races solely on the basis of ethnicity. Not where I live.

Any expression of prejudice (due to ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation by any black man/woman is unacceptable, and rightly so. See Tim Hardaway's recent homophobic remarks. I am glad that he got s--t for his ignorant talk.

There is a reason Blacks have The United ***** College Fund. It is because, historically, Blacks were disproportionately under represented in tertiary education in the US due to active racial discrimination. So the Fund was a way to get Blacks to attend College. We have made a lot of progress since the 60's. So the current discussion is, is the Fund outdated?

I perceive that your question is informed by the fact that you think racial minorities have it easier than say, whites. In priniciple, there's nothing against having an exclusive private all-white College. Just don't expect federal funding, like Spelman and Morehouse College.

Anyone who has been or feel they have been mistreated due to their skin color, religion ,sex etc should be allowed to speak up about it .Why wouldn't you want them to if you are not a racist or bigot ? not saying that you are .
I didn't know society was okay with blacks being prejudice it is not okay to prejudge anyone black,white,orange,purple whatever !
Whites have college funds as well and mostof the time their parents started it for them when they were children .Colleges that only allow blacks (as you put it )have a few white students but whites are the minority in those school instead of a majority , most colleges are whites anyways with a minority of blacks attending .
I hope this clarified your views on this matter ,Blacks in America have been taken from heir land and dehumanize ,Can you honestly tell me you know what it is like growing up and not identifying with you'r so called own culture in a positive way ?
That's the reasons for the all black colleges ,young black adults being raised in a society being educated and knowing to embrace their heritage skin color and so on after being told for so long they weren't good enough ,or the TV channels ,Sometimes Blacks would like to just see themselves not portrayed as criminals and thugs so they have to seek refuge or comfort in one another
I'm not a racist by all means , i treat everyone accordingly to the way they treat me

I agree with the above post it is not okay for anyone to put another race down, even in defense. BUT as far as the United ***** College Fund and black colleges, access to equal resources has been in the past divided unequally. Less then 50 years ago there were separate water fountains and bathrooms via Jim Crow laws for blacks, so the idea of oh yea sure whites and blacks attending class side by side in college...get real. It amazes me how deluded people are these days.

I think racial prejudice is horrible, no matter who spouts it. I also think that specialized scholarships for minority groups (affirmative action) are racist by definition. They made sense in the past when racial groups were significantly disadvantaged by government, but they seem to be more obsolete now. If people want to do this with private money, they are free to, but not with government funding (think Native American scholarships, etc).

Such benefits may prove more of a handicap in the long run because they discourage individual accomplishment over racial identification.

Why is it okay to say "The United Negroe College Fund " but if I call a Black person a Negroe than I'm a racist?............Oh wait a second ? ..........I can't call them Black anymore , I have to call tem Afro-American or is it African -American?
