That's pretty close. 3sqrt(4840) = 208.71 ft. provided you mean a square piece of ground with an area of 1 acre, meaning 834.84ft. of fencing.

Just off the top of my head, and this may be wrong...an acre is 210 x 210 - so you would need at a minimum 840 feet. (Extra may be need depending on trees, terrain, etc..) And I suppose you would take some out for the gates.

1 acre = 43560 ft ²
let length of side of square = L ft
L x L = 43560
L² = 43560
L = √43560
L = 208.7 ft
Perimeter = 835 ft ( to nearest foot)
