In the same way we don't listen to them mostly when asked not to go out with some friends we assume they are wrong.Again from experience i know that if you do something against them or even if you lie to them once,they lose their trust towards you and when you do something in private they assume that it is wrong.
Think we should first try to understand them be honest with them and we shall surely understand each other.

Listening is a two way street. Communication requires a message sent than received. Teachers are similiar to parents except that they grade you on how much of it you 've heard. The police requires you to here it all without question.
Then uncle sam tells you the way it is. Which category is considered wrong on assumption to not listening to the children voicing their concerns with a choice or just whining.

Probably because they remember being a teenager and the mistakes they made, and they're trying to prevent us from doing it before we end up making wrong decisions. I know it can seem ridiculous, but in the long run, i guess it's a good things for parents to be protective of us, it shows they love us and care for us and hope for us to have a better life then what they might have had. But you gotta love them.

Growing up we all thought our parents were wrong and we were right. But with age comes knowledge. I'm not saying that they are not capable of being wrong, but a lot of times they are right. We are/were just too young and inexperienced to realize it. When you have kids of own you'll see for yourself.

All my friends (including me) face the same problem. I guess they want to be protective of us....and don't want to let go.....maybe....i mean hell i don't know am not a mother yet!
