Scientific study has shown that we all evolved some long time ago from Africans. When people say evolve it usually means to adapt and advance. In that case it is quite racist to claim that Africans are primative and at the bottom that hasn't evolved. Why is science so racist. I'm ashamed to be white as Darwin claims to be so great.

Science is not racist. But racism has left its mark on the history of science by corrupting it with bias during earlier periods. Fortunately, we've rectified those "kinks" over time.

Evolution is not racist. Evolution insures that a species is better adapted to certain environments, and this is not an excuse for racism. Some Africans, for instance have a genetic adaptation that protects their blood from malaria though it carries risks of Anemia. So some Africans are adapted to a particular environment where malaria is common. Does this mean that blacks are superior to other races because they have an evolutionary advantage in this area? Of course not. We treat people relatively equally because we have a system of ethics to insure that scientific inquiry is unbiased by prejudices.

One of the bogus arguments that creationists use to poke at Evolution is to point to the racism of men like Darwin in the 19th century. Darwin was probably like other British men of his time whose world view was ethically blinded by racial prejudice, though he was surprisingly modern in his opposition to slavery. But these views don't impact his scientific theory of Evolution, which stands and continues to accumulate evidence. Evolution simply says that species evolved over time through natural selection and helps us know that human beings have a common ancestor.

My answer is this: So what? If some humans migrated out of Africa and adapted to other environments, that doesn't make one race better than another. And that certainly doesn't make Science or Evolution racist.

I did hear about this new descovery or theory but the explaination that was given is that in Africans hold all the DNA codes that is spreaded all over the world and based on that scientist are assuming that everyone else evloved from Africans. It is not about becoming better it is about holding a certain share of DNA codes and create and individual race.

Any way may be you should dig a little deeper in this issue

scientists believe that people in africa were the first group of humans, then they went out across the world in search of food. i dont think anyone really considers these cavemen africans lol. just because they started in africa means little. most places in the world have caveman artifacts, like cave drawings and such. africa wasn't even a real society then. it was just a jungle with wild animals and some cave dudes. you shouldn't be ashamed to be white. i dont believe darwin, so it really doesn't bother me.

humans didn't evolve from africans, humans descended from africans. the same way you didn't evolve from your father but you may have evolved from a monkey.
Evolution implies genetic changes that would alter a species over time and create a new or subspecies.
Thus, It is fair to say that the black man is your father and ancestor but you did not evolve from the black man, just as you did not mutate from the black man.

We did not quite evolve from Africans. The first homo sapiens species were in Afirca. It is from Africa that we moved out and conquered other hominids...
