They both rocked! They had different styles to them, but I would not call them uneven in quality. The first may have also had more action, but I think both stories are superb!

Yea, I agree. number one was definitely better.
ps: Volume 2 is not a sequel, the two are meant to be seen as one film. tarantino like the idea of the old cinemas where there were breaks so he created a film in two parts to do the same.

I think they are pretty equal. They each have parts I like and parts I hate. I keep getting what parts are in which vol confused. I loved the fight scene with all the japanese guys right before she fought lucy lu.

I loved volume 1, I felt like I could feel her pain of revenge that I was dying to see volume 2. But volume one was better the two I think.

I truly liked them both - different scenes in each one stand out to me. I had always hoped that a fantastic boxed set with great extras would come out in DVD.
