or instead of nah sound you call it a whoop sound i have listened to the panther, cougar, bobcat and mountain lion and none of them fit what i heard by the way their was only about 6 of us camping in a primative camping ground and they were burning brush of course we did not know that at the time

ok i forgot to write that i checked hawk owl limkin quail ok this is just what is sounded like first it screamed like a woman (and i mean woman but we checked no woman) then nah.. nah.. nah..

If none of the cat sounds were it, could it have been a bird? I don't know what kind of bird though. Could it have been a rabbit getting caught by an owl, that might account for the "Whomp" sound, the owl landing on the rabbit.
