I got interviewed on 15th March, but still waiting for answer from the company. The company doesn't says anything, not even replies to emails or calls. I am confused. However the immediate supervisor called me once a week after interview and said they still need to sit down and discuss. Sometimes I think I am rejected and sometims that I am on HOLD. What is your opinion?

Well usually it works like this.

The interviews are done, they select a candidate (maybe 1 or 2 days after the interview).

Next they get approval from management (usually the same day).

The ask that person if they want the job, and will usually reply in 1 day to 1 week. If that person accepts they can tell you that you have been rejected.

So what is likely to have happenned is there is a delay in this process. For example the final decision can't be made until a manager returns from holiday. Or 1 person took a long time to respond then said no, and now they are waiting for the second person to say no.

Two weeks may seem like a long time to wait, but they might still be making a decision. Some employers will narrow it down to a few applicants and have a second round of interviews.

I hope they have the courtesy to let you know if they picked somebody else, but most don't.

I can relate, I'm job hunting too.
