i don't know what you have been seeing, but my tattoos are not cheesy and i have one of them hung on my bedroom wall ( i rent a room so i have no control over the living room wall) 0ne of the others i also have stitched on a throw pillow i keep on the bed. and the third will soon be back on the wall i removed it to get the pattern so the tattoo artist could downscale and do what they do to get it on to my skin. i have three so far one on my wrist as a bracelet and the other two are on the inside of my fore arms. they are all done in black and grey and i love them and wouldn't remove them for anything.
so i guess it all depends on what they have, and why they have them. you may think that they are cheesy because to you it would not be any you would permanently place on yourself but to some of us they have meaning and life all their own.
i guess its a "To Each Their Own " thing.
sorry i couldn't agree with you.

Most people, if they have half a brain anyway, get tattoos to portray a time in their life. Sometimes it's happy and other times it's sad. The sad milestones of life people love to get tattoos of....why, I do not know...maybe to say that they've made it and life goes on??? True, you wouldn't want to hang this in your living room.

Well, since it's on their body and it means something to them is all that matters. Cheesy for one may be something significant to another. Also, when you start to get old and flaccid any good tattoo will look cheesy.

you never know, some people like that "cheesy" art.
though i do agree...i have seen A LOT of horrible tattoos, (having them opens the flood gates for others to show you theirs, even if in areas that the sun don't shine on) and half the time they are badly done or just tacky in general.
me... i don't go out of my way to point out my tatts, but half of them are visible anyways. and half of them...are tacky...cuz imma tacky grrl!

Because most of the time they don't put alot of though into what they want to be stuck with for the rest of their life, just what is cool now. My ex had my name tattooed on his neck, now he is married with kids and still it is there...how tacky. I told him not to do it.

What ya mean cheesy? In my trailer park it is the in thing to to get. I got a barbwire around my arm and a skull on my other arm. They were both done with a coat hanger.

Because they usually reflect what the person wants other people to think about them, not who they are. If they were secure enough about how their actions, words, and presence speak for them, they wouldn't feel the need for tattoos.

Tattoos are definatley cheesy in my book. They show lack of intelengence & are considered TRAMP STAMPS!!!! I know personally, because my sister is covered in them. I tell her to have them removed all the time, But she argues with me about it all the time. A Tattoo is considered A sign of no Education, or at the very least no Education. Thats what is important in life, First & Foremost.
